How to join our team:

Sacred Fire Productions is a non-profit organization based in Tiohti:áke (Montreal) existing since 2012 that has received its charitable status in 2021. Our mission is to build bridges between Indigenous artists and audiences of all ages and backgrounds, including in urban areas, so that these artists can assert themselves, develop and live better from their art. We believe in the revitalization and reclaiming of Indigenous arts and cultural practices that are traditionally rooted in the communities. Through an approach that fosters intercultural exchange and dialogue, we wish to contribute to a better understanding of First Nations, Inuit and Métis cultures and to a positive attitude towards them.

We are currently looking for committed volunteers with experience to join our Board of Directors, who would be able to commit to 8-10 meetings per year, as well as other special events and assemblies, and who have the following skills and experiences:

• Understanding of Indigenous issues, consequences of residential schools, multigenerational trauma
• People who have worked on their own healing
• Non-profit experience / board experience / community experience
• Specific skill areas such as human resources, finance, project management, marketing, fundraising, facilitation, mediation
• Familiar with arts & culture scene in Quebec and elsewhere
• Committed to social justice, decolonization, and anti-oppression and familiar with intersectionality
